DIY Coconut Milk Deep Conditioner

Coconut milk, the thick white goodness squeezed forth from the meat of the coconut.  Coconut milk is supposed to help prevent hair loss and is packed full of nutrients and protein.

Coconut Milk Deep Conditioner

  • 1/4 c. coconut Milk
  • 1/4 c. cheepy condish (like suave)
  • 2 Tbsp honey, agave nectar or your fav humectant

Mix ingredients in a small bowl then apply to clean hair.  Cover hair with plastic cap and allow to sit for 20 minutes.  Rinse hair using warm water and finish with a shot of cool water. Style as usual.

    • I just finished up washing and deep condish-ing :) my tresses. I loved it. My hair was soft, manageable and, that was weird, milky? LOL! The consistency was a lil’ thinner than I would have liked. I did use a hand blender so that may have been the culprit. I made 2 cups so I’m good for another month or so. Thx for the recipe! I would recommend giving this a try and least one time. I may never buy another overpriced deep conditioner again.

  1. Love this! Have used this for a few months now and passed it on to my aunt and mom. I told my mom to try it after dying her hair (she doesn’t like her grey). She complained about the way her hair felt. If she tries it, I will post her results.

  2. Thank you for posting this. I have been looking to do this for a while but was not sure if mixing honey and coconut milk with a wash out conditioner was a good idea. Now.. I cannot wait to try it. Again, Thank you!! :)
